Should I replace the wooden bridge with bent wood pressure treated? Can I paint right away with the painting of solid? After I replace the wood twisted, I have a bit of new wood and some old wood, I want to repaint the whole deck, then I do that? or should I wait for the pressure treated wood to dry? Thank you!
Always dry the wood pressure treated for at least one season. Or if you replaced in early spring, it may be ready to do so by the fall.
However, do not paint a bridge ......... use a good quality stain is semi-tranparent or solid stain, otherwise you will be constantly scraping, sanding and repainting
We must let the wood dry. I do not know if you've replaced the boards, but I would wait until spring before starting any type of finish on the bridge. I recommend cleaning the first bridge with a deck cleaner and let dry for about 48 hours. Then use a good quality semi-transparent stain on the deck. I prefer semi-transparent, because the spots have a lot of solid pigment in them that tends to fade over time.
Before replacing the wood, pressure cleaning the deck. Use a product that will help you make the spots on the old wood. Allow to dry for 72 hours. Now, replace the wood, you do not want to pressure spray your new wood the way you do your elders. Once you've finished with it, put a layer or two of sealer on the wood there. Assist in the old wood best to keep and protect your new wood. Just let the wood settle in the night, then put the product in the next day.
Allow to dry for the time limit on the seal, they vary. Normally, about 24-48 hours. Then you can paint.
Good luck! I just this type of project many years ago ... great work! Make sure you fry our sunscreen. Did that too ... wish someone had reminded me to use sunscreen. lol.
