White Mirror

I have this beautiful antique mirror that is oval and the frame is white wood. What I want is to look like a cherry wood. The framework models are very complex ... I would chip all the paint off white stain? Is this my only option?

Yes the paint should be removed to stain the wood. It would be easier if you removed the mirror frame. You can then cover the frame with paint remover and peel the paint. Do not chew the wood as you will in March
