Warm Biscuit Biscuits Cinnamon grandmother for breakfast, brunch or dessert Cookies Grandma's Cinnamon is a delicious breakfast treat. They are especially good on weekends and holidays when you want to enjoy the smell of their cooking, then linger with a cup of coffee, tea, hot chocolate or even milk and delicacies. They are also ideal for brunch, do not forget to keep warm until serving. And what better after dinner, a hot biscuit with the hint of cinnamon. This versatile recipe is sure to find a place in your home. Grandma's Biscuits Cinnamon 2 cups all purpose flour, sifted In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda and mix well. Stir in vegetable oil. Add buttermilk and mix just until blended. Knead dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth. Roll the dough into a rectangle 15 x 8 inches. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly grease a 9-inch round cake. Spread butter over the dough. In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar, cinnamon and cardamom and mix well. Sprinkle this mixture over butter. Roll up rectangle, jelly roll style, starting from one long side. Pinch seam to seal. Cut the roll into 1/2-inch slices 1. Arrange slices, cut side up, into the prepared cake pan. Bake at 400 degrees for about 15-20 minutes until lightly browned. Remove from oven and pour the milk on top, if desired. Serve hot. Enjoy! Posted on April 30, 2010.
