Wallpaper Interior Design

Im decorating my room and I've decided I want a wall that is characteristic purple flowers (see link below). I have a dark walnut flooring and black and gray / silver sofa and matching curtains. I want my other three walls, a simple painting lighter purple.

Do you think this sounds right or do you think I need to get lighter flooring and a sofa in cream?

Another choice for the other 3 walls is gray to match the silver / flowers in the wallpaper. It might be a little lighter and purple can overwhelm if used in large quantities. You can cut some flowers in your wallpaper and frame for your artwork and put it on the gray walls in front of the wall wallpaper. This would unify the region.

Then you can use more purple and silver for pillows and other accents. The design rule is to have the contrasting color in three places around the room. No more than your eyes and jump around and it seems too busy.

I love the dark walnut floors for the rich.

Since there is a dimly lit room colors will be the key to a warm design. I want to be sure of a good task lighting. 3 lights in a room is the norm. Then have overhead lighting that is on a dimmer. Make sure you have plenty of money, mirrors and glass in the room to bounce the light around.

Personally, I think that if you paint the walls purple and others, you'll need a sofa light as the cream on the picture! Otherwise, it would be very dark

I think the floor would look good in walnut or cream carpet?

Personally, I have the wallpaper on the wall function, then the cream of the mural others, have a cream carpet and the sofa?

But its all personal preference! we all have different tastes, as I would have the carpet instead of the cream, although we prefer hardwood floors:-s
