Staining Your Deck

Staining Your DeckIs this a good idea to stain your deck with a power sprayer?

I want to save time and try to stain my deck with a latex-based stain with a power sprayer Wagner. Good idea or not? What model? Deck is made of cedar and measures 14x22. Thank you

Bad idea! it will destroy the sprayer, unless you buy all the accessories for the sprayer. less would defeat the type of sprayer that people use insecticides those who work hard.

if you do this with the sprayer to do so in a crosshatch pattern. Which is better to use spray is pumpp then recede. you can always do the method with the power sprayer and use a roll with it. to mix evenly.

A pressure washer to prepare, yes.
A power sprayer? No.

Power sprayers will make a heckuva mess with more spray and spray. Bite the bullet to do with a roller.

Hello, You can save time by using a power or pump spray, however, the end result may seem blurred and you will be surprised how quickly you'll use your patch. Also, if you're in the sun spots (warm wood), a latex stain dries quickly, so you will not have much time to lay off (mix / smooth), heavier stains off spot you have applied. I'll try the bridge with a roller and brush ... a good brush! Use a 7 "roll of 1 / 4" nap and a 3 "angle Purdy (chassis) brush. Place the roll pan on a sheet of cardboard (back) stain in the direction of the board of directors is not everywhere. Roll then paint one section at a time using a brush to fade spots and work in the cracks. If you want to speed things up, and Have someone roll (using a roller handle), while someone one kneels and lays out the stain with a brush.
I'm sure you'll be happier with the finish using this method. Good luck!
PS. Buy a foam pad to kneel well!
