Solar Powered Pond Pump

Solar Powered Pond PumpI want to install a pond pump or solar fountain. Any recommendations?

For a small ornamental pond with fish and plants, and varying amounts of sun

My recommendation is not. In my experience, the sun just do not have enough power to really make a splash. And the batteries eventually stop charging both during the day.

A solar system enough to power a pump cost a bundle - several hundred dollars, not including control electronics. Much cheaper to bury a whole cable.

I tried to float on water and as much as I advocate solar, it does no more than twice. I would not get the 1.8 or 2 watts of solar panels. It is not enough power. I recommend the one with the solar panel separate from the fountain. They sell from May to June watt kit fountain flow is 40. 20-30 is 1.7 watts at 2.5 amps or VDC depending on your sun. My booster pump for my good work on a solar panel 20 watts. I never OutRun.
