Room Paint Colors What are good colors to paint room for a guy with a fascination for ?!?!?!?!? black furniture Im a typical guy with no sense of interior design, that somebody has a good idea of what color to paint my room? I have lots of black furniture, black coffee table, wood cabinets and a tiled floor reddish brown. Suggestions???? How about a sweet cream? It contrasts nicely with the black and make it stand out. In addition, the black takes the light of the room and makes it look smaller. You do not want a black color on the walls, too, because your room will look smaller than it actually is. Use accents of bright colors - like pillows, lamps, rugs, wall hangings, etc. - so the room does not look dark and cold. Red and green. peach purple ... or foam .... possible Green or blue. Beige would be fine. I agree, beige. green forest at lower paneling correspondent firms and beige floor deeper than the red tiles ,..... Burgundy .. or deep green style ..... rock star. You can have expensive tapestries and carpets Persain ways to hang on too ,.... cool! purple White red and black very clean and elegant. depending on the shape of the room, small walls can be painted red, white larger spaces retained because of a very red room would feel terrible and smaller. If you kept the white walls and filled the room with acceseries red (frames, tablecloths Costers) it would also look good, things work better angle then things round. We have a studio with similar tastes in shows in black with dark furniture. The floor is polished concrete hand made Mexican tile mosaic, mostly subtle strawberry red and yellow splashes / orange. Having a lot of walls exposed in a common area, any color of sandstone from the Earth will do, we settled on a fishing Hayman using a gradient, creating a lighter atmosphere warmer. Works for us, good luck mate! Posted on June 14, 2010.
