How many coats of primer / sealer is required on a wall of dupes? How many jobs will be the primer / sealer to fill small imperfections on my cast - I have spackled and sanded, but it need to be perfect, perfect?
How long should I wait between layers to apply the paint?
Is it better to paint the trim or walls first?
After the installation of thousands of square meters of plasterboard, paint and thousands of gallons of paint, I ask,,, What you want to achieve???
If you have spackled and sanded and still see the spots, I offer this anaolgy.
You own a car. This is the one you like. It has some damage. You want to repair to look like when you have enjoyed. Do you need a body shop. They ask, "Um, when we finsih and take your money, is it OK if there are bumps and voids in the finish line?
I will suggest that too. When you think you have created a surface on which "defects" can not be detected once you've painted over but still see a defect, then you do not work as well as you might have.
Primer is an excellent way to detect defects still present before adding the topcoat paint. If you see flaws add more spackle, sand lightly, and the first again.
Now all that said, "Perfect" is relative and subjective, but remember my arrival anaology car? Which is perfect for me may not be for you?
Read the label for recommendations for the second layer.
First wall,, masking the plate, especially if they are two different colors. Once the wall Drys you can gently apply the same blue painters masking, carefully, on the wall where it meets the molding and painting the molding. Before Drys completely remove the tape, in both cases, but that does not begin at one end and peeling to the other end.

two layers is good, but will not hide imperfections prevail! they must be filled and sanded first, the second layer - instr. on the box, and do the first walls ... luck.
I use two layers. I'm lazy and I wait a day inbetween. ahaha
minor flaws will appear on coats of paint that has a glossy finish as high gloss and semi gloss.
If you use an eggshell or flat finish coat after booting, you should be OK and not need to have a perfectly smooth surface.
Primer is used to seal the drywall so you will not have to use many layers of paint and allows for better paint adhesion to the surface.
Remember it is always best to paint more thinly and allow to dry between coats of paint as a single layer thick and soft paint.
Better broadband trim and paint the walls first, then go back and paint the plate with small brushes and a shield (sheet of cardboard or large putty knife).
It depends on the paint used, the flat wall paint does not show imperfections as badly as semi-gloss does. We use 2 layers of primer and two coats of paint depends on the quality of paint used and the condition of the drywall. Newly patched areas need more coats to seal.
Let dry a coat before applying the second coat of paint and always the first walls. Cut your corners with a brush and then roll them in supermarkets.
Perfect, perfect, having fulfilled all the imperfections, let dry, then sand with a good size board sanding plate using a fine paper. Run your hand over the repaired areas and you should not feel any high or low spots if you do not build with filling to a wider area and the sand at the new flag over the edges. A primer is sufficient followed by a layer of quality paint (latex). I suggest painting the last trim.
A thin layer of primer is all it takes, it seals the drywall and prevents him from drinking, but does little to help the problems. The primer dries usually rapid pending moisture. Once dry, 30 min to 1.
