MarketplacePaint Colour Ideas Decoration ideas and paint colors? I have a room with oak flooring finished off, and exposed honey-colored brick on a wall. I have a light gray sofa and dark gray vanity. What color would look best in the room? The lighting is very good, so I do not want to go too dark, but rather focus on the light. I appreciate the idea pale sage, or obtain samples of paint, try to match the color of earth and bricks, then choose a sort of pale color inbetween Goldey soil and bricks for the walls by adding a touch of burnt orange accents Do not paint, just poly the floors and some waterseal on the bricks. It should be natural, do not ruin it. I am not an interior designer (as you may agree! Lol) but I think it would be nice. I like the lines and imagine that I am, your room is full of straight lines and sharp corners (bricks, wood panel flooring, etc..) Colors all sounds as they keep the room light and airy so you do not want something too bright and colorful, because it will make the room too fake. If I were you, I woul paint the remaining walls white and keep the brick wall that functionality. I would use a very pale and soft chocolate brown to paint a thin border curved around one third of the height of the wall. Make sure to put a large mirror on the wall in front of the brick as it will appear more spacious room and soften the overal feeling. If it were me I would get a shade of sage green and dilute it down so it is pretty light. The color is fantastic sagey with gray, and will highlight the color of honey in your bricks and floors. The green color is a naturally relaxing and the lighter you go the more reflective and light the room will be. success I would go with a pale green like olive or somthing. with yellow / honey I think I look great! and green always goes well with a light gray! I place a large mirror on the brick to help pave the room. Paint the remaining walls a rich cream color - eggshell or ivory. Articles focus used to attract the eye - pillows, artwork, etc. in bright colors, for example: rich colors in purple and / or family purple goes great with gray, monotonous If you prefer to keep warmer - more - items rich gold with a little black is still soothing and attractive. Also, select a rug to put all your colors together. It is never so beautiful! you can paint a wall behind the couch with an accent color of Burgundy wine / and the other walls neutral / cool color ... or warm the room couch pillowsto add emphasis with Burgundy and dark tan color and paint the walls a neutral tan others. I prefer warm colors! Posted on April 30, 2010.
