Oval Wood Mirror

Oval Wood MirrorSuspension of a mirror from a plasterboard wall?

I have an old wooden framed mirror (oval) that I want to hang from the wall plasterboard

The weight is around 10 pounds or 4.5 kilograms if need something fairly robust

Thought of putting two brackets next to each other and the suspension wire at once what it would be better

two is allways better than one, go .. builders merchants request a bag of hollow wall fasteners ... not toggle bolts .. They are made of ... a spiral .. you mark the edge where you want to just screw fixation and the position of his .. a second fixing part because there is another screw that screws into the center of the fixing ... I use to delay the handrails to the local council .. they are that good

you can use toggle bolts that you agree to your drywall, you can also get sticky pads that you put on your wall and stick to your mirror

While only 4.5 kg is not heavy, it would be better to find a stud in the wall where the mirror was not essential if it is, there are many attachments available, and most are capable of the weight of your mirror

Go to Lowe's, they have these wall mounts to heavy use (peak brackets) they come in different sizes of weight bearing, I hung acoustic panels 2 'x 4' on one wall of drywall, no sweat, the heavy holds 50 lbs, at a cost of $ 5.00 each, worth the price

Go to your local DIY or hardware store and ask for 2 sky hooks and a glass hammer, who should do it!
