Latex Spray Gun Can I paint latex spray through a gun? Hello, I'm about to do some painting. The material is the security screen, which is sheet metal with small holes. It will be sandblasted clean. The painting that I will use is Behr Ultra Premium, which is a primer and the same can and will be latex, mixed use for the color. I have 60 gallons a compressor and a spray gun Harbor Freight. It is a weapon HPLV, and a cup 2 quart. I tried to specifications on it, but it is no longer in HF. It operates at 40 psi at the Cup of the paint and 10 PSI air to the Cup. I understand that the paint can be diluted to less than 5%. I wanted to know if I can run the latex in the gun, will it hurt the gun, and / or paint is crappy when it is applied? Thank you! Something does not match. All I know HVLP systems do not use a compressor, a turbine at all. I sprayed with a latex enamel spray HVLP, but I did not use a compressor. It does not hurt any gun, but cleaning is a chore. Have lots of denatured alcohol around. Start cleaning with water and then use alcohol for fine tailings. I may also conffused. U said u where the metal spray? is that the paint designed for metal. most paints used for this is that u use enamel thinner and thinner to clean. Most latex paints are water purification and water and metal do not mix unless u have a good introduction to this subject. i may be wrong ANDNOT aware of this type. Excuse me if I am.
