Kids Floor PillowsMasters Touch offers unique spaces for children

The creation of unique spaces for children is in high demand and a Masters Touch was the restoration of the design whims younger for some time now.

"Children of all ages have their own idea of what they want in a space. When we sit down with the whole family to discuss the renovation or construction, we listen to what types of fun, funky, creative and cool elements the kids would like in their own special space. Then we take these ideas and develop a plan to integrate more functionality in the family budget, as far as possible, "explained Doug Masters, founder of Masters Touch.

According to Masters, there are several things to consider when designing a space-child:

Look for opportunities in space. One of the best areas to be used in the creation of niche markets is the child dead space under the stairs. You could create a club-house "small" for a child who may have his own door. Otherwise, the basement offers the best chance of the dining area because everywhere else in the house (kitchen, office, living room and so on) is designed for a specific function.

Balance of fantasy children with the comfort level of adults and budget. The best way to balance what kids want and what mom and dad are comfortable and can afford is to make a wish list ahead of time with children, examine and prepare a budget. Second, parents must present their vision and their budget to the contractor. It is a very important aspect. You should always have a budget and share it with contractors during bidding, and they will help you decide which items you will be able to integrate.

There may be details you would normally ignore that make a difference in the space of a mini-cool. What really makes a difference is when parents allow their children to conceptualize and choose colors and textures and have a say in what elements they want in space. Small children are looking for space for activities and horse around furniture so less is needed. They also benefit from having a small area that is their own, so the 5'space 3'x under the stairs is ideal for transforming into a club that is painted with bright colors, well lit and Soft bean bag chair. That being said, keep in mind that if you are renovating the basement space will be used by both children and adults. Thus, when planning the arts and area craft or play area for children, it is good to create it so that it can be hidden or closed when the adults want to enjoy the room.

Balancing the wants / needs of children of different age groups who share the space. When there is an age difference between children, it must be integrated into the plans. Make a list in advance of what the room will be used for the present and in five to 10 years from now. Two children under five years will be running then there will be no need for traditional furniture, but perhaps a few upholstered chairs with balls. They also need room for toys and areas specifically designated for arts and crafts. Older children and adolescents want to have a sofa, TV, computer wiring and space for a game table as you plan, make sure that what you intend to incorporate into the room there be a space of arts and crafts, sectional sofa or a pool table you all fit in the room.

Choosing the right materials. Great materials to use for kids spaces are filling premium on the floor with very soft, paint, plush carpet (ideal for bare feet), washable paint, stain resistant furniture, table or blackboard, tables and chairs with washable surfaces, bean bags, floor pillows and wall shelves. It is good to incorporate furniture that does double employment by providing storage space - perhaps an ottoman or a coffee table with lots of Dra.
