The feast to famine cycle The Winter Festival famine cycle Old
Unless you live in Miami, Florida, or New Orleans, Louisiana you will certainly be affected by winter. People ask me all the time for strategies to survive the winter. I'm not boasting, but I have already delivered 17 bouncers on Christmas Eve for events on Christmas Day!
How could I do, you ask? I ran a promo $ 149 allowing the customer to keep the unity of Christmas Eve until January 2nd. That's the client was able to maintain the unit for a full week for $ 149. Doing the math.
$ 149 per rental unit x 17 = $ 2,533
December normally mark the end of our season, so to $ 2,533 at a time when the phones are barley was a victory sounds the winter time.
Here's how I created the sale, I sent a mail shot to all my clients in our database. There was a touch one-page brochure mailed the first week of December, the 15th of the month we had rented all the units and has even sent the feed to my friend in the business.
You can earn money in the winter months, but we must be creative. I just gave you one of my main strategies of winter for only the cost of this series, but it took me 12 years to find a way to make money in December.
During the summer months, we really rake in some serious doe, but this would fall right after Black Friday in November. This always leads to a party to the cycle of famine. The activities of the party rental has always been my full-time job, so I did not have another gig to fall, I was really everything in. Looking back on everything I've realized that my company was better for me, then I went to my car. With cash flow to Mush I often spend the surplus in the month, then have to hold out until February.
Then came the winter of 2001 and I almost died of hunger, and had to return to work a full time job just to pay my bills. What happened? I'll tell you what happens, season after season, I would never put anything away to carry me through the offseason.
In the spring of 2002, I began to take one third of my sales on Sunday and placed in an escrow account that I would not touch until 1 December. To my amazement the account had grown to $ 15,000! We really had a merry Christmas for the first time in years.
You need a plan like this in place to keep you afloat during the offseason. I decided that the season starts off on December 1st Hot States, and October 31 for cold weather states. The off season will last until March 1. Now, you can always make money during the offseason, but do not expect to be reserved.
Another fact, you may want is not all cultures celebrate Christmas or birthdays, but they are still as passionate about their children. Many of my rentals come from the Jewish Christmas, Jehovah's Witness and Islamic communities.
I would even advertise in their communities as a way to keep my business grow during the down season. Please remember money is green, if you must develop the ability to market to all cultures.
