Hurricane Candles

Hurricane CandlesHow to get wax off of glass inside a hurricane-style candle holder?

I had to use candles that were too large, candle wax does not melt in the candle, but rather outside of it, forming a candle even wider, attached to the glass of the storm. I could remove the glass before cooling, but now how do I get the excess wax off the glass wall?

Heat water to almost boiling and then dip just wash with soap and hot water

take a towel soaked in hot water, then receiving a blow dryer and hair wax fire, then it will melt again, then take the wet towel and wipe.

To clean my candle I fill my sink with water as hot as I can get water from the tap and let it soak in a few minutes, then the wax should come with a paper towel. For the thick wax I use a butter knife when it's soft to peel the wax.

Being a glass hurricane, I'm not sure. I would be inclined to put it in the freezer for about an hour, take it and try to scratch it.

Here's a suggestion to remove the wax candle glass votive candle:

Answer: How to remove candle wax votive art glass containers to Chandler (used to clean equipment) ...

1.Take pan disposable aluminum pie which does not contain any holes (check for holes by first filling with water, then dry completely before proceeding to the next step).

2. Preheat your oven to 175-200 degrees. No more hot as wax is flammable at high time!

3. Place the aluminum pie pan in a shallow dish glass baking to catch any spilled wax as possible. (You do not want to spill any wax inside your oven using this technique, because it will smoke and catch fire later in time).

4. Place your votive containers upside down inside aluminum pie pan, so that as the wax melts, it will flow into the pie pan.

5. Place in oven and check every 20 minutes. When the wax is liquefied and drained into pie tin, remove from oven.

6. Glasses will be hot! Pick up with a paper towel to prevent burned fingers, and wipe the glass thoroughly with paper towels to absorb any residue wax. If wax has spilled into the glass baking dish, wipe with paper towel while it is still hot.

7. If the wax has been removed, but a light waxy film remains, wash votive glasses in hot water or through the dishwasher.

8. Leave to cool and solidify the wax inside the pie pan. When completely cool, throw it. The best advice of all is prevention. Spray a light coating of vegetable cooking spray inside votive glasses before inserting votive candles. melted candles will slide easily later! -
