Half Barrel Planters

I want to build staved barrel halves use growers. Would like to know what would be the best wood to use and also wants some sort of plans to do so. I am very knowlegable woodworking, but it could use a little help. Thank you.

I think I agree with the answer 2. The creation of a canon, not just one species of wood, but the determination of the fractions to remove the corners of each stave butts Approximately a neighbor. Then, to be barrel-shaped, it has to shape each board, steam, etc., all alike. Then banding has to take into consideration.

Certainly a noble cause, but a tedious task.
