San Francisco is an interesting city. This is the thirteenth most populous city in the United States, but when it comes to population density is ranked second.

It's very expensive to live in San Francisco. the value of properties in the city have multiplied among the highest in the country. However, residents of San Francisco have the highest incomes in the country.

Since it is so expensive to live in the city, middle-class families have moved and young, single professionals have moved in.

Here's a route to use all the nightlife of San Francisco has to offer. During your trip, you will have a tour of several unique districts of the city and visit many major attractions of the city. It does not take long for you to realize that the city "by the Bay" is just as exciting at night because it was during the day.

SOMA

At sunset on San Francisco, you find yourself standing in the SOMA district.

SOMA stands for "South of Market." This area is located in the eastern part of the city and home to art galleries in San Francisco top.

As night falls, you explore the latest exhibitions at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (151 Third Street), then at the last edition of the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (701 Mission Street).

Looking at art can make you thirsty, you take a cocktail at one of the many art gallery-slash-cocktail lounges. Minna Gallery (111 Minna Street) and the Mezzanine (444 Jessie Street) are two of the most popular.

You can stay in the soma for dinner, but tonight, you're off to see the city as much as possible, so you go to your next destination.

Of course, if you dined in the soma that you may have visited the house of salt (545 Mission Street) for some excellent American cuisine or the comfortable Fringale (570 4th Street) for their exquisite French do.

And if you dined in SOMA, you have probably visited the Supperclub (657 Harrison Street) thereafter. This ultra cool club patrons dining on couches and sipping expensive cocktails while watching Cirque du Soleil-type show. It is a feast for the senses.

THE CASTRO

Your next stop is the Castro district-center of the gay culture of the city. This is where Harvey Milk, recently described in the milk film by actor Sean Penn, opened a camera shop and began his political activism.

Travelling in the Castro district to visit the historic movie palace, the Castro Theatre (428 Castro Street). The theater shows films old and new, domestic and foreign, public and independent. It is also quite the social hot spot for movie fans.

After a movie, you can dine at the restaurant 2223 (2223 Market Street). This affordable restaurant is known for having some of the best dishes of the city. If you're not in the mood for American food, Thai House Express on Castro (599 Castro Street) always receives rave reviews.

After dinner you attend a wine tasting at the spiral of Castro (572 Castro Street). You will taste wines from around the world, but you also browse their showroom filled with gifts and wine accessories.

The next stop is the bar on Church (198 Church). This mythical place is hot trends deejays, retro furniture and a patio bar. It is the place to be when you're in the Castro.

Fillmore

You can spend time at the helm of the Church throughout the night, but you have places to go and a rock band to see. You go north of the historic FILLM.
