Fused Glass Tiles

Fused Glass TilesEveryone knows about glass fusion / merger?

Hello!

I've recently been looking around for some new projects to do when I saw a program on glass melting / fusion. The artist made glass tiles, jewelry, bowls, plates, and everything you can think of! I enjoy working with my hands for my attention ... Not only that, but it would also give me a way to recycle and reuse more things for both the community and our planet.

Does anyone know what to do to start? Items that I want more colored glass or be willing to share any information about the job itself on the best way to start or where to learn?

Please let me know!

To melt the glass in your various projects you will need a furnace that can generate the temperatures required. If you want to make small objects like beads you will need a toarch, tools, eye protection, and only the glass fuse, a small jeweler oven should be enough to get you started. Enjoy!

I took a fusion of glass with PMC in Albuquerque, NM. It is surprisingly easy if you have an oven and a few simple tools. The oven is very important. Different glass fuse different temperatures. And it is important to anneal the glass to prevent breakage. I used to get my glass shop windows, with a Council of Europe of 90, which works best with the silver clay. I'll look in my notes for time and cooking time. You need to vacuum your oven before merging. You also need to use baking paper on a shelf devoted to glass furnace. You can also merge the document with silver clay in layers of glass (But the fire of the PMC and bright linen). All specific questions, let me know! I try to come to the clay play day tomorrow!
