Exterior House Finishes

Exterior House FinishesHouse exterior paint work on my 1990 Volvo wagon?

Hey guys Thanks for your help on my other question

Does the exterior paint work on my house 1990 Volvo wagon? I fear that this will not be able to withstand the heat (I live in a sunny spot) also make it very hot under the hood.

I thought of going outside with a satin, semi-gloss or surface finish on my car after applying a coat of tinted primer and after light sanding with 100 degree. (I'll make 2 layers of paint without primer, but the second layer of shiny paint does not adhere too well to the first layer.) I plan on using a roller (for 90% of the car) and a brush ( for areas fine)

My car is burgundy, and I intend to paint yellow.

Can you advise me on how to better address this plan?

Thank you guys (and girls too)

Jeff Foxworthy had a joke about it once - inspired by a true story of something he and his buddies really tried.

But the paint hose is the kind of thing wrong. It is too thick and normally intended to go on rough surfaces that are more forgiving of imperfections.

Yet you are on track with the roller. Take a look at this discussion:

And scroll to the place where "69chargeryeeha" made an appearance. His description has become "the Guide" definitive Internet car paint really cheap.

rent a paint sprayer from Home Depot or similar. and go.

No, you need to get paint that will stick to metal, and remove all traces of wax from the car, spray

Argh - NO

House paint is on your car, but it will look terrible

Try using automotive acrylic paint applied to the gun.

Uhhhh, no.

oh I do believe that yes, he has used, besides a car you want to spoil ur

If you want to paint your car yourself, would be far better for the automotive paint, such as "truck and van painting of Wal-Mart or any automotive store. It will take several boxes according to coverage and do not paint in the sun, no matter how cool it is outside. Use only the first 1 / 3-1 / 2 of the box to the flat surfaces (hood, roof, etc.) Take your time and follow the instructions on the box. This type of paint has a steerable tip that allows the gun can be run as a. If you pay close attention to scratches and concealing everything you'll be surprised at the results. Check and repair all dammage body before you start. I painted two cars this way for friends who do not have much money and they both lasted several years and still look good. Use a primer-colored ( gray) or yellow does not cover very well and Burgundy show through. When you are finished be sure and use the top coat to protect the paint. Rolling and brushing is just a bad idea. The paint will not and will not look good either. If you need additional assistance, please contact me. Good luck.

house paint works, but not last approximately 1 BR yewar Then it will peel and flake if you want to go cheep at least use rust paint Tremclad last three years a 4

NO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would not even waste time and money to try. The finish will not last, not made for this application, and look like $ hit.

You've Got To Be Kidding !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
