Dulux Exterior Paint

The paint is Dulux Weathershield exterior gloss. Wondered why it would be a problem if I wanted to use it inside, for example to paint an interior door.

You're simply paying for exterior durability. Use it, no problem.

He would not it be fair that you pay extra for more durable (outdoor) painting that you need.

It would not matter if you used it inside, except that you may need to ventilate the room as many exterior paint smell worse than indoor!

Gloss paints are more expensive initially but are very durable and resistant to wear. They are good if you have young children and the need to wash the walls down.

We used them on the walls of the house I live, and they are still good after 30 years. They could do with a cheer with the latest fashion colors, but they have served.

I would easily give them 10 years inside. They can last 20 years with good care.

You would have no trouble using paint on doors, ceiling and architraves.

exterior paint may cost more, especially as special paints it. Also the toxic fumes could be much higher which makes them dangerous for internal use.

Exterior paint - gloss or emulsion - is specially formulated for exterior walls that tend to be more severe than the inside and have to withstand weather conditions at times. Paints containing chemicals will not be found, or needed on interior walls. There are also health and safety reasons why you would not use them inside.
The site says below for emulsions that "These paints are microporous, allowing the painted surface to breathe, so minimizing blistering and flaking otherwise caused by moisture from inside the building ..."
The brilliant he cites, "gives a hard finish and lasting protection. Also available at a paint coat. Available in satin or gloss. Are dust and mold, non-yellowing ... "
Exterior paint is water based is not oil based as the interior finish.
