Designer WallcoveringsResidential Wallcoverings - Four types of typical models Matches

Wall coverings are purchased because of the configuration or printing that is on the surface. When you hang wall coverings, the pattern repeats vertically (above or below) at specific intervals. This is true except in the murals, textured wall coverings. There are four conditions for the models found in wall coverings.

Random Match is the most likely person to work with. There are no specific points, then you must align - no additional coating is to be thought in your square footage needs. A striped wallpaper is an example of a model corresponding to chance. Sherwin Williams scratched coating shows no repetition of the pattern.

This type of coating is much like when you alternate the way you hang the scratches. This means that you hang the first strip top-side top of the wall and the next strip at the bottom end is hooked to the top of the wall. You continue to use this alternate method. This would minimize variations in color or shading of the edge to edge. It is likely the most profitable because there is almost no waste, no repeat of the distance to take effect.

Drop Match means the configuration runs diagonally on the wall. There are several types of fall games. The most typical is half Drop Match, which means that the design is midway between the two. It is determined by measuring the distance between the design elements on the right side of the coating. If the distance between the elements of design is ½ the distance on the left side of the coating, it is known as a drop half. It will take additional paper to respond to design elements in this scheme.

Straight Match means that design elements can be found on the next tape and they are evenly spaced. The repetition of the pattern may be 1 "to 36", which will determine the extra inches must correspond to elements of design. The Sherwin Williams site shows a pattern corresponding to the right.
