You'll probably want a couple pair of shoes John Long. You may have to wait and to do after getting there when things winter, we put stuff .... the summer much today. You can always add or leave things that you learn what you do and do not want.
IPod, you can save notes in it and read.
names and address and contact numbers
stamps and cards for an assortment of b-days and anniversaries
Pretty good list, especially with the neighborhoods!
Consider:
Directory of telephone numbers of the school.
Scissors. (For packages that you receive in the mail that you can not open, but you have already listed)
Letter Opener
CDs and flash drives so you can save your data and still have an archived copy of it.
Credit and debit card (because we all know that achieving the small change is a nuisance).
Medicine, first aid kit (also to take account Amoxillan sore throat).
Arnica Gel ... for days and nights or when you wake up with a bruise and have no idea where it comes
Flashlight (the light with 9 lights, not those with a light inside)
Additional portable charger (because if you lose, your laptop is useless.)
Furthermore, priority mail and express mail things in your dorm just in case you need to send something to the family home. You have forms of delivery and signature confirmation so you can fill these in your dorm instead of going to the post office and do it and wait on the timeline where you could have done earlier.
Having a heavy coat, it gets really really really really cold up there! Also, have at least 2 special formal wear for all special occasions.
Good luck!
