Deck Stain

We need to finish the chairs, but can not find the spot color that we look for in furniture stain. However, we can spot in the deck! Has anyone ever used the deck stains on furniture or whether you can? Thank you.

I do not think that I tried. I have been restoring antiques for 45 years, and find a product that best fits what it was intended. In other words, to find or to mix the right color stain from wood products inside, no stains wood deck outside.

Deck stains are formulated for sun, rain, cold, etc. I think you get a better effect of something made for indoor use only.

I do not see why not except the bridge is thinner spot tha regular spots. You need to apply several coats to achieve the look you want, then seal it with water based poly after the stain is dry.

yes ... the only problem I could think about is if the smell is too strong or NT for home furniture ..:)
