Container Fountains Powering a fountain / filter for a water garden containing? This is my first time trying something like that. I am 30 gallon half barrel garden with 2-3 goldfish, snails, aquatic flora and appropriate (hyacinth, Anacharis, parrot feather ...). I would like a fountain and a filter, but the nearest electrical outlet is 50 ft away. I try to avoid the hassle of installing cable UF, and considered as an alternative to this solar fountain: From my experience of having a pump going 24 / 7. This keeps the water running and if the pump has a built in filter, it also keeps the water clean.
