Chinese Ceramic Vase

I came across this article to a flea market and found very interesting, but I can not find information about it everywhere. The person I bought it from did not know what it was either, but I bought it out of pure curiosity.

It seems to be Chinese. The case contains 2 cups decorative ceramic or porcelain (or vessels) of approximately 5 cm in height - both different, but decorated in blue ink. The case also includes 8 pieces of porcelain manufacture / egg-shaped and 8 small pieces of metal that are composed of 5 small circles (one in the middle and 4 in both directions - north, south, east, west - almost as a cross made of circles).

Is it a game? Am I missing parts that could get together?
