Mold spores are everywhere. The spores need water, the optimum temperature, food (in the form of a porous material), and the right amount of air.

Unfortunately, common household problems can lead to optimal conditions for mold growth - and transform your home into a petri dish. The leaks, structural damage, flooding, poor ventilation, insulation and improperly installed all create conditions that foster mold. Cellars and attics are particularly vulnerable.

Most people have heard of so-called "black earth" (Stachybotrys chartarum or Stachybotrys atra) and health problems it can cause. Not all molds like Stachybotrys black mold is true - but any mold in your house is bad for your health.

Those who suffer from asthma or allergies, small children, infants, the elderly and people with existing health problems facing acute problems are more suseptable health problems related to mold exposure.

The symptoms of mold exposure include:

Simply because it is not visible does not mean it is not dangerous. toxic mold syndrome, sometimes called sick building syndrome, can make people sick. Although no mold can be seen, smelled or felt, the building itself causes symptoms to mold exposure.

If mold is visible, you can be sure that the mold even exists. Spores can be dormant now, but it is important to destroy them so you do not have problems later. If you suspect a mold problem, you must have inspection and mold testing performed by a mold inspector trained and certified.
