Behr Deck Stain

I'm in the middle of my bridge project and purchased a portion of Behr, but found that my brother had problems with it peeling and flaking. Anyone have any experience with this kind of thing?

Tex is right. Your surface to be coated must be clean and any finished or older must be well respected or completely removed before Behr not only products, but all labels and others. Any dirty surface will significantly reduce the adhesion. Just read the manufacturer's instructions in their entirety, and you should have no problem. Not only I am a strong supporter of Behr products for the past 30 years, but I only live about seven miles from one of their factories. They are a good product if used properly ... "Generally" problems such as are the result of inadequate preparation and / or application. Be sure to read and follow manufacturer's instructions to the letter completely.
