Battery Operated Christmas Lights

I want to try battery Christmas lights, but my sister told me they do not last. I wonder if they will last throughout the holiday season if I put up today or do I change the battery every week.

Battery operated lights usually last 8-12 hours per battery. Battery operated LED lights can last for days, though.
